Has anyone ever linked a profession where majority of the time women have ticklish feet?

For me I have found it with nurses/doctors. Either I have been really lucky or it’s trend that everytime I run my fingers up the soles of a woman in the medical field I normally get a very ticklish response. I don’t know if anyone else has found this to be true or another profession.

I wonder if it’s the amount of time the spend walking in tennis shoes.

There's no correlation between a profession and ticklish feet. The truth his women in general are ticklish, and feet are a common ticklish spot. So it's not that women in the medical field have exceptionally ticklish feet, but that the vast majority of women will be ticklish on their feet.

Id have to say the profession where woman normally have ticklish feet are paid models.

From my experience, the majority of women have ticklish feet in general. There could absolutely be a correlation, but there's also no data set I know of to prove it if so. I'd say even if there was a correlation, it would be minor and mostly related to common practices in the profession. To further complicate it, such practices are likely common among many professions. Unproven examples might include:
  • As you suggested yourself, wearing shoes that don't necessarily breathe well all day keeps the feet moist and more sensitive. But a lot of professions fit this category.
  • Maybe more correlated to a narrower scope of professions is that people who are on their feet often may have more sensitized nerve endings in the feet and legs. I know this happens in relation to how much my wife and I are on our feet through the day, but that's anecdotal.
  • Perhaps professions where personalities of higher emotional intelligence or emotional engagement are common might be correlated. One part (in a multi-part system) of being ticklish and the relavent responses is related to parts of the brain that also process emotions.
  • Professions in which the professionals are more likely to get pedicures or care for their feet for whatever reason.
Again, this is all just fun and highly speculative without real data. Without that, no one can truly say if it is or is not correlated in any meaningful way.
