Project Recruitment (STOP !@#$ING PMING ME!!!)

Okay now...I've always presented myself as being a really nice guy around here...but as of late, now living on my own I've gotten a serious crash course in being a complete and total dick so forgive me.....

To all these people that have been PMing me, literally begging me to be in next years group project, LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE. When I recruit for the project, I look for people who are well established artists in the community and who I know are versatile enough that they can provide a variety of different scenarios , humor, and visual aesthetics.

Some of these people will PM me literally on a daily basis, never letting up or send "samples" of their work that are either quite obviously traced from photos (which I despise) or look like they were drawn by a third grader on the back of a school notebook. Forgive me for being so brutal but GET SOME GOD DAMNED SENSE PEOPLE!!!

One person last year actually tried to pass themselves off as the artist "CB" when they contacted me....stupid asshole didn't realize that CB PASSED AWAY! Not only idiotic but HORRIBLY disrespectful.....

The point I'm trying to make is when the next project starts up whenever that may be and if the current "staff" of the S4 team recognizes your ability, I will contact YOU, not the other way around.....

Thats what I collectively call the "inner circle" thats been involved in both last years and this years project, namely people like Sammi, Chaz the Weasel, Nessonite, Kahoshiden, etc....the people I trust more than any other in this celebration of collective madness XD

I hope the people asking Cheshire Cat realize that even though it seems like fun and games... It is a project first and foremost that many (if not, almost all) people in the tickle community are gonna see...

putting in work of any level is important for a quality output of this scale...

Sounds like a clique Cheshire. I think your at the wrong forum for that. You should go to the TMF. Clique central over there. And if your going to be picky about YOUR project why don't you do YOUR project by yourself instead of being ungrateful. You should embrace the new talent not shune them because they haven't been here that long.

Some clique leaders I tell you are ridiculious.

Oh please, this isn't the "popular group" in High School dude...seriously. Alright....I realize the use of the term "inner circle" was a really bad idea and nothing I say now will fix that bit of damage to my credibility. What I meant was the people that I know I can rely on and also know can keep up with the amount of work needed for the project. And its hardly an inner circle, being composed of over a good 20 people...a bit to large for that XD. If these people have never posted a single thing online or only a handful in the past year or two, how do I know that they will be able to complete anything at all? How do I know they won't just view and download all the contributed pieces ahead of time before the project is done and then come up with some half-assed excuse as to why they can't get anything done? Part of being an established artist is also having an established rate of productivity...

You think I like excluding anyone? I know what that feels like and I hate it...but coming from the person who's trying to organize all these creative talents together in the first place I kinda have to pick and choose based on ability, its as simple as that. I'm also not tooting my own horn, I KNOW there are plenty of talents involved that do MUCH better work than I ever could. All I'm trying to say is that I have no problem embracing new talent...I would just prefer to recruit established artists who show a significant degree of versatility and ability...

You also have to understand Cid that this is all in response to some incredibly obsessive members here AND at the TMF who just would not let up and literally harassed me to the point of having to block them...

It's just like a job in real life...not just anybody can get in without providing a resume...not just with creative talent, but with the productivity and reliability...


You can be a wonderful artist... but just like in a real life job if your productivity is faulty, then the business will not be as successful as it could be! :happy:

This is not high school.

This is something that Cheshire, a true ARTIST, is attempting to create...and, as it's his creation, he reserves the right to have WHO EVER HE WANTS involved in it...inner circle, outer circle, anal sphincter, or whatever...it doesn't matter. It's his choice.

He is one of the few truly talented artists in the Tk world...and one of the kindest people I've conversed with on this site. Therefore, as his friend, I find it offensive that he is being disrespected on so many levels...PM's, and the lone pity monger on this thread who is probably one of the ones trying to get involved in the project and was shot down...

If we want to be seen as more than just a bunch of pervs, we need to allow those who have the ability to artistically express themselves, either through literary or visual arts, in an appropriate, professional manner. If we allow the professional artists to do their jobs, without persecution, we will ALL be seen in a better light by those who view said artwork...

And since these talented few are taking time out of their daily lives to do this for all of our benefit...well, we need to let them make the decisions for their own projects and not give them crap for it...bottom line.

If you don't like the way this project is being operated, here's my suggestion to you: Come up with your own project!!!
