question about forum privileges

I have not been able to view pictures all day and noticed the posts about having to have ten posts for certain forum privileges. is that why I haven't been able to view pictures (because I haven't reached a certain number of posts or something?) or is it just a problem on my end?

Check your security settings. They might be up too high. This generally dosen't apply, but your computer might be going through a few quirks.

dussicar, you were right. it was a quirk (aren't computers wonderful/horrible little things?). I can see pictures now! YAY! all better now! 🙂

Ah, It's good to hear that you're now capable of seeing the pic's. Just don't do what my dumb ass used to, and forget to put the settings back up when your done here.

Wanted to Say Hi but cannot start a New Thread

I wanted to say Hi to you all! Cannot believe there is a place like this. I also found the Hyenas Club in Yahoos Groups and love it there too.
I have a problem here though. I says I can post new threads but when I went to do so, I was told I could not.
Am I doing something wrong?

The only reason i can think of at the moment is, that you tried to post a new thread in the announcement, polls, or artist's pad forum. "Normal" Users, aren't allowed to post new threads there.

It should work fine in all the other Forums tho.

Maybe you tried before you had a minimum number of posts before being allowed TO post New Threads? I think you should have the right ammount now.

As far as I know there is no minimum post count required to start a new thread. Plently of people have made their first post in the Personals forum.
