Question about Windows Media Player

Can anyone tell me how to make Windows Media Player my default software for showing videos? It used to work that way, but I recently updated my "Realplayer" software and now everything plays on Realplayer.

Windows Media Player

Thanks...I tried that...but when I open Windows Media Player...I dont see a "tools" option. At the top I see "Now Playing, Library, Rip, Burn, Sync and Urge" .....but no "tools".
Any suggestions??

You have version 11, necessitating a step to get to tools. Right-click abovethe line of buttons (Library, Urge, etc) at approximately the same level as the "Windows Media Player" text in the upper left. You'll see several menu choices, Tools being amongst them.

Found a simple way

Thanks for your help! I found an even easier way..I just went to "default programs" in the start menu..and it was very simple.
