Ross came home from the office on a Thursday night, and said. "Okay, trip is set., Going to OKC Monday for a much-needed break. I will be gone the usual amount of time. I will definitely be back by the time you get home from work Thursday, maybe Wednesday night, depending" Ross said.
Kayley kissed Ross. "I'm glad that you guys were able to get something together. I know you need it. I will miss you as I always do, but this time I know that you're doing it because you truly need a break " Kayley said.
"Thanks for understanding, Babe" Ross said, kissing Kayley.
"But of course. That is what partners are for" Kayley said.
Ross was in a very strange mood since the "ten percent loss" at RossShell.

Right now, as an example, Ross was experiencing the former. This, while difficult for Kayley to deal with, was far easier for her than to experience Ross going into rants, and the couple fighting every night.
This was another example of how Ross's personality really had changed since his health issues.
Ross was having a serious problem at the office.
In the past, Ross would work late, act out, and almost do things to "set Kayley off."
Now, with Ross's current setup at RossShell, and him not having to deal with the "day to day craze" of how he used to run things in previous years, and such, Ross was able to come to Kayley for support, and receive such.
Ross's "Not doing things to intentionally set Kayley/his wife/partner off" made it much easier for Kayley to come through with said support from her heart, without her feeling "resentful:" and thinking things like.
"This guy , my husband of over a quarter century, is acting like an asshole to me because he has business problems, and "he" is expecting "me" to support "him"
"That's not how it works, buster"
Instead, Kayley knew that Ross was very troubled by losing ten percent of the company. Kayley also knew that while part of it was "The money."
While Ross had turned most of the responsibility over to Vic and Ross's lawyers to deal with the minute details to avoid getting sick, Ross was also not stupid. Ross knew what was going on, and Ross could not just "totally block it from his mind" That would be unrealistic.
Such was the reason for Ross's mood, why Ross knew that he needed to go to OKC for a break, and why Kayley wanted Ross to lean on her for support, and how it was easier for her to support him than in the past, because he was simply her husband who needed her emotional support through a problem, and not "The Dictator" who acted out to her, pissed her off, and then "expected her to be nice to him anyway"
Ross knew from many years of previous experience that it just did not work that way.
The last thing Ross needed, for both his current situation at RossShell, for his relationship with Kayley, and to avoid additional stress for both Kayley and himself, was to put strain on their marriage, while Ross was undergoing the current problems at RossShell.
Ross went to work on Friday, and Kayley was surprised to find Ross home when she opened the door as Kayley herself came home from work at 4 pm.
"That's the person I needed to see all day. I just had to get out of that place. (RossShell) and come home to serenity with my baby. These are for my beautiful VP, inside, and out" Ross said quietly, handing Kayley a bouquet of Red Roses.
Kayley kissed Ross. "How sweet. Thank You, sweetheart. They are beautiful" Kayley said, giving Ross a long kiss on the lips.
"I plan for us to have a loving, quiet, weekend, and then of course, I will kiss you goodbye on Monday, go, and will see you a couple of days after" Ross said.
The weekend was quiet. Ross felt much calmer not having to be in the office or deal with it over the weekend.

Ross decided not to ask Kayley to stand barefoot on a ladder.
At that point, just being with Kayley was all that mattered.
Ross vowed to himself not to look at anything regarding work that weekend.

"Vic, you know that unless something unforeseen happens, I will be going to OKC for several days next week, and I will not be in the office. I need to rest and recharge this weekend. Please do not contact me with anything regarding RossShell this weekend, and, ideally, until I get home. I just need to destress and block RossShell out of my mind. I will of course call in from OKC once a day as I usually do, just to talk to you, and check in, as any traveling CEO of a company such as RossShell would, but, I just want to focus on a quiet weekend with Kayley, my trip to OKC, and trying to do productive things for myself, both personal, and next week in business in OKC" Ross said.
"Of course I understand that point of view from you, Ross., Especially with the situation which RossShell and both of us have been experiencing in recent weeks. We will do just what you suggested. I think that said approach is an excellent idea for you, for me, and for RossShell" Vic said.
On Monday morning, Ross and Kayley awoke.
They both dressed for their respective plans that day.
Ross to leave on his trip to OKC, and Kayley for her day, and her responsibilities at work.
Kayley kissed Ross. "Bye, sweetie. Have a safe trip, and I hope you have a productive, and more important, calm trip to OKC. I know that you very much need it" Kayley said.
"Thanks, Kale. I certainly hope it all comes off just as you said. You have a good few days too. I will call you tonight as I always do" Ross said.
Ross and Kayley left. Ross got into the Uber to JFK for his flight to Dallas and then transfer to OKC.
Ross's plane landed in OKC most important safely, and also "relatively on time"
Ross took an Uber to the office, went spstairs, and greeted Fritz and Steve.
While Ross missed Kayley, Ross already felt relieved to be away from RossShell.
All Steve said is ""Welcome again,.,partner! We are so happy to see you! I have a feeling that we are going to have a productive week"
"It's great to see both of you as well. I'm hopeful of just that, a productive week. Let me grab an iced tea, catch my breath, and then we will talk" Ross said.
Ross was so thankful for the support which Ross was receiving from Kayley during the terrible time at RossShell.
Ross was so thankful to be with Steve and Fritz in OKC , away from RossShell, and hopefully in a productive setting.
