Rather Sad Day

Well, today is the that a group of friends are getting together to celebrate the life of one of our number now departed.

Two weeks ago, TT's own Bella Donna and I received a phone call saying that our friend had passed away. He'd just gotten back to the states after time abroad, and without warning, passed on. Well... he'll be missed.

We had to miss a chance to see him, barely a week before he passed. We'd been told he'd be around, so we thought that it was no big deal. Only when we got the phone call did we realize.

Please, please... if you ever have the chance to see an old friend, take it. You never know if it will be your last chance.

It was a heart defect that he was born with apparently. It could have happened at any time. It just chose that time to happen! C'est la vie, ah?

That really sucks! And, heart problems are 'never' fun, trust me (being related to a few who are afflicted with some sort of cardiac ailment). 🙁

I hope you and Bella remain strong, and learn from this experience. It really, really sucks, whenever someone is taken, regardless of their age, but it's even harder when they're still so young, relatively. I hope his family and friends are doing all right afterwards, and that the two of you raise your heads and try to look towards tomorrow with a bright eye, instead of lingering on the crap that surrounds us everyday.
