Just when it seemed Raw was on an up swing, it took a nose dive. Erick vs Shane in the main event. WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT. Goldburg Vs Flair should have been the last match with Greenberg going over in 2 minuets. The RVD vs crY2J was the match of the nigh, and I like Lance Storm/Goldust as a tag team. I'm glad Gail Kim is a heel but I think they should have waited until next week, and have her turn on Trish in a tag match VS Victoria and Molly Holly. What is the point in have "Wife Beater" steve austin around if he isn't wrestling. He never get's beat up, except for the one time with Kain, and he can't get in the ring anymore... WHAT IS THE POINT DAMB IT. Steph was on a good run the last couple of weeks, put Air RAW flew right into the ground this past Monday.

LOL I actually enjoyed the show...well, parts of it. I will agree that some changes would have made it better, though. I was also reading a book and watching at the same time (as always). So, I don't tend to get too worked up about the less interesting parts.

I suspect that there were some changes d/t the HHH groin injury. I think there would have been something more with him if he were healthy. Gotta protect the groom until the wedding is over. BAH! 😛

I agree that RVD vs Y2J was the best action of the night. I was actually wincing at some of the falls and blows they were taking. I'll bet both are sore today! Lots of action and some very cool moves by both guys. Excellent match.

I like the idea of Lance and Goldie being together. Lance has been portrayed as a stiff long enough and the "borrrrrrrrring" chant itself was getting boring. It should be fun to see him loosen up and stop the "be serious for a minute" persona. He's a talented guy. So, there's plenty of potential to work with if they give him a decent personality to work with. Goldie seems to lighten things up with everyone. So, I'm optimistic.

I'm holding out judgement on the Hurricane/Rosie team. Last nights bit was funny with them posing in the ring...and that outrageous little boy super here throw-together outfit Rosie was wearing. But, Rosie can't wrestle to save his life. If the team starts to work out, maybe he'll push to get in shape and do some real wrestling? Time will tell.

The Shane/Eric thing was likely a toss-in to fill time and give Shane a little (emphasis on little) action. I enjoyed Steve's instigating earlier in the show more than I did the match, though. No matter what I do, I just can't get myself to enjoy Eric.

Steve needs to be more active in things for me to be happy. Since he can't really wrestle much any more, that's tough. The current set-up between he and Eric is okay. But, I think they could do more with that...or can Eric and let him manage RAW alone. Not sure what to do there.

The womens match, with all the run-ins, had the feel of filler even more than usual last night. It started out okay and the just got weird. I think Gail needs to be taken down a peg and get more practice in before she hurts someone. She has a few good moves and seems in decent shape. But, I still don't think that she belongs on the TV show. I agree that a tag matchup with her turning heel would have been more effective than the bit last night. She didn't sell that at all.

Now about this hair match between Y2J and Kevin (ow, that hurt) Nash... 😛

I enjoyed last night's Raw also, the Shane/Bishoff/Austin bit in the beginning was very entertaining, good to see Shane getting in Bishoff's face.
The Y2J/RVD match was pretty decent, the Hurricane/Rosey "S.H.I.T." routine is getting interesting and I can't wait to see what Goldust does with Lance Storm.
The Goldberg/Flair match was good, as was the Hurricane/Christian match.
And I was glad they entered Triple H's groin injury into the storyline instead of making up something bogus as to why he can't wrestle.

RVD vs Y2J

Rob Van Dam vs Jerico always seems like a classic match to me. It's just somethin about the two that makes them so good at performing in the ring together. I also agrre, shane vs eric was a gay mainevent. Also what about the mainevent at Summer Slam? I think that's gonna be gay too.

Replace Nash and HBK...

Replace HBK and Big Daddy Cool with Booker T and Cristian and the Main Even would be better. Personaly I don't know why they don't just have Goldburg get in the ring, Spear, Jackhammer, and pin HHH and let that be the end of it. Then have booker lose the IC belt to RVD and beat Goldburg for the strap at Survivore serries.

i wouldnt replace HBK. for a guy who thought he would never wrestle again, the Heartbreak Kid, is simply amazing. he is beginning to show signs of his pre-back injury days in his style of wrestling. Nash on the other hand could go. i wouldnt miss him at all.

is it just me, or is Goldberg having a hard time getting over? i mean, he isnt getting the fan response he got in WCW or how Austin or Rock received in WWE. i think Goldberg's problem was that he waited too long. if he came over when the WCW merged with WWE, he would be a huge star right now because he still would have been in the prime of his popularity. oh well.......

as for the main event at Summerslam, i think it is a good idea. why? HHH is hurt. he wouldnt want to see him half ass in the ring with Goldberg. and there is no way HHH would give up the title in a "squash" match. plus they really had nothing to do with everyone else. dont forget, Smackdown is also going to be on Summerslam.

as for the women's division, i love it. i always liked women's wrestling. hell, i am constantly writing tickling stories about a women's organization. i hope the women get more time. they are athletes and deserve the time. they are not just "T&A" anymore.

To be honest, I got turned off of WWE (WWF) back when McMahon turned it into a circus freak show. Now I hear they brought back Doink The Clown....that fit's their freak show atmosphere to a T.

I personally loved the old NWA, before Ted Turner came to the scene.

Wouldn't Have Worked

If Goldberg had come in with the rest of the WCW crew, he would have been barried along with the rest of thge WCW crew. When the time came for all the titles to merg every belt was held by a WWE main stayer.

WCW US Title With the WWE I.C. Title (Edge Def. Test)
WWE Tag Titles with the WCW Tag Titles (Dudleys Def. Hardys)
WCW Cruiser Weight Title with the WWE Light Heavyweight Title (Don't know who fought)
WCW World title With the WWE World Title (Y2J Def Steve Austin)

Had Golberg come along with the rest he'd have been beaten by every guy with a name in WWE. Look at what they did to Booker T, he was at the top in WCW, and a realy entertaining performer. Thank to HHH he had all his value deminished at WM 19 when he was oinned clean in the middle of the ring (with one arm) PLEAS !
