Hey ticklejen....I know exactly where you're coming from.....here's my take on the whole thing....
.....those of us who are 'ler-oriented (whether we enjoy being 'lees as well or not), have to remember ONE pivotal fulcrum for where tickling is concerned.....the human body sees a 'tickle' as an "attack." Such as how you'll swat at a fly when it's crawling on your arm and the sensation of it's movements have registered in your brain.....with tickling, it's much the same way....hence the use of hands to stop the 'lers hands....the writhing, rolling, covering up...you name it.
Willing 'lees can even react much the same way....but it's tempered a bit differently I think because they see the 'ler as one who is providing a playful act of affection.....or, they may genuinely ENJOY the sensation on particular parts of their bodies, and don't quite 'view' it as an "attack," but more of a sensation that borders on agony going head-to-head with utter pleasure....as those parts gain a certain level of adjustment to the sensations....they relent even more...
....a would-be 'lee...who initially can't get by being tickled very much (or, at ALL) are admittedly, tougher to decode....the way I always used to help 'change their minds' was to enable them to tickle ME first....(even very reluctant 'lees can most times appreciate BEING the 'ler)....once they witnessed just how much fun I seemed to be having while they tickled me....the school of thought (I imagine) became, 'Wow....he's VERY ticklish....bad as me, in fact...and yet, he's totally loving this!!! Guess it can't be all that horrible!' And...with time (and trust....KEY word there), many of them would allow me to do a little more with each effort.....and for each and every time, I was VERY attentive to their limitations......if they said, "STOP!" I stopped....no BS. If the loss of control from previous 'lers was what turned them OFF to being tickled in the first place....they'd quickly see that wasn't a problem with me.....they would in fact have control over how much they could/would take, whereas in their past, they might NOT have.....
...with a little MORE time, better than a fair share of those I did this with would willingly surrender their feet to my lap and outright ASK me to tickle them.....because with me, they knew I'd make it fun, and yes...sensual....but also, they knew I could control myself....which gave many of them the freedom to LOSE control....giving me even more 'tickle time...'
....it goes without saying that finding a willing 'lee right off the bat eliminates all this decoding....but....we gotta be realistic...y'know?
. Anyway, is there any to re-introduce tickling as a good, fun, and postive thing that it is? I am just wondering if anyone on this forum has any ideas because the only thing I can think of is find out why and work from there and hope they can get over it.
