regaining a sensitive reaction to tickling

I am wondering if once one is not as sensitive to tickling...
can anything be done to regain a ticklish reaction to being tickled.

I have tried hypnosis with no real great result.

My theory is that once ticklish always ticklish. Perhaps it's like a light switch in the off position. Maybe a part of something not fully understood in the mind.

When I was younger I was extremely ticklish. Now when I am tickled I never loose control. The tickling only makes me twitch a little. Sometimes I can feel a little sensation but it is not like it used to be.

I guess that this is great if you are a tickler and looking for immunity for the tickling payback. However I think that one of the greatest parts of tickling is being a victim of tickle torture and loosing control.

I might also add that I used to be so scared that anyone would find out how ticklish I was. I fought off a tickle attack one time like I was fighting for my life. It was an unwanted invasion of my privacy. They never got to my ticklish spots.

Under the right situation tickling can be fun. That time I did not think that it would have been.

I would enjoy hearing anyones comments on this.

I understand

I understand your situation, though I am on the other side of it. My ex husband was terribly (or wonderfully) ticklish when we first met, and right after we were married, now he says he don't feel much, he twitches a bit, and that's it. I really don't understand it, and any feedback would be helpful. Even though we are no longer together, I still wonder how could it disappear? 😕 😕 🙁

I have a feeling that if anyone has actually come up with a solution to this, that it would posted in big bold letters all throughout the forums... and would probably have a section totally devoted to itself.... cause basically... this would be huge news.

Unfortunately, I havn't seen such a thread... except I keep seeing lots of threads like this where the best things on offer are either hypnosis, tickle talk and baby oil. But this stuff is basically what the tickler can use to increase the tickle sensations...

But yeah, unless someone's hiding something big... I think that there isn't a way to regain the sensations. Of course, I'm more than happy to have someone disagree with me.

Maybe exploring the individual patterns that folks show in their own ticklishness would be helpful? For example, I'm very hypersensative during PMS, when hormone levels are higher. I'm also more sensative when I'm in a particularly good/playful mood. On the flip side, I'm less sensative when tired or in a bad mood. During normal periods when I'm not drawn in one direction or the other, I'm still very sensative but am generally able to stifle my reactions in order to drive the LER crazy. (Hey! I said I was ticklish, not submissive! 😛 )

Determination...

If you can get the lee tied up or pinned down, take your time and tickle them slowly with one finger. If ther tie upt you can explore there entire body, and the simple duration of the teasing/tickling might bring the desired hysrical reaction. I don't know if this will work but it's worth a shot.
