I am bilingual.I speak both southern and northern American.

Mask-redneck word.

Used in a sentence

Hey Mils,mask you something.
In northern speak it would be,Mils, may I ask you something.

Shitload. A constant unit of measurement in redneck land

Kurch, you sure have a shitload of fire wood.

Please feel free to add.

:rainbowbounce:

That'll go over like a pregnant pole vaulter.

I can teach you Western American.

Repeat after me. "Ay Mils, let me axe you something."

I was born in the geographical south but not the cultural south and my parents were both born in the north, Jersey in particular, so I didn't hear much of anything truly redneck until I moved up to the mountains into the cultural south.

O'er yonder - "Oh, he went o'er yonder."

Y'all - "Y'all come back now."

Flor'da - "You're from Flor'da?" "Florida, yes, that's where I'm from." "You're sayin' it wrong!" - This is sincerely no joke. I was seriously told I was saying Florida wrong by some redneck classmate of mine...

^LOL! Although it's true that if you're from the Toronto area, we don't say it as "Toronto"... it's Torana 😉

As a child I heard quite a bit of New York dialect, as in "Doncha wanna get dat?" for "Don't you want to get that?"
