"Fine, then how about a compromise. A three or four day OKC trip, only a day longer than usual, and then three days alone in Vegas. I just dont want to see the office for a week so that I can clear my head. This has nothing to do with you, nor am I doing it to irritate you" Ross said calmly.
Kayley kissed Ross. "That is perfectly fine with me, and very reasonable considering what you are going through. You want to work, you love OKC, and then you need a little break. If you want to make Vegas over the weekend, and you want me to fly out, I will. If not, I understand, and I will see you when you get home" Kayley said.

Ross purposely stayed silent, and let everyone else do the talking. Ross was holding up, but was still sad. Yet, he felt fortunate to be in OKC and not in the RossShell office slaving away.
At the end of the day, 100 people committed to sign, a very good day.
The men had dinner, Ross went back to the hotel, called Kayley, and slept.
The next day, 300 potentials came to visit. This time, only 85 signed up, but the men did not obsess , as there was still one more shot.
Dinner that night, sleep, and then the last day, 400 people, a rather large group arrived, with 150 signups. All in all ,, a very good three days.
Ross had checked out of the hotel, was having an early dinner with Fritz and Steve, and was preparing to take a late night flight to Vegas, which would not arrive in Vegas that late, due to Ross gaining two hours on the time clock.
Ross had his phone on low. He felt it vibrate, looked at it, and there was a message from Vic.

"Vic, I just had a very successful trip with Fritz and Steve in OKC. I am leaving for Vegas in a little bit for a short vacation that I really need after Aunt Karen's passing, being back in the office, and then working hard these last three days with Fritz and Steve in OKC. What about Charles Harton?" Ross said, in a snippy tone.
"Ross, Charles knows about your Aunt Karen, and said he is sorry about her. Charles also knows that you went to OKC, he says he really needs to talk to you, and that it is important" Vic said.
"Vic, excuse my French, but fuck Charles Harton. You just tell him that yes I am finished with my oil trip to OKC, but that Fritz, Steve and I have to fly out West on other business, and that I will not be back in New York or reachable for four more days. Quite Frankly, if Harton does not like it, he can lump it. There are other people in the office who he can talk to if he must speak to someone" Ross said.
"Okay, Ross, I will tell him that you had to extend your business trip to take care of other pressing business and won't be back for several days" Vic said.
