The envelope which Ross opened that "had to do with Tazzio" was that Tazzio, while still extremely arrogant, had composed a typewritten letter to Ross saying that Tazzio was "tired of butting heads with Ross", and wanted to call a "Real Truce" and to prove so, wanted to involve himself in a deal with Ross, no matter how small.
Ross was shocked. He sighed, smirked, looked at the ceiling, got up from his chair, started walking around, and only had to sit down because he was feeling a bit dizzy,.
