I was absent from these boards for a year or so. I stopped really using these boards when you moved from the ezboards (i think thats what they were) back in the day that psycho4048 pretty much ran the show. I was wondering what ever happened to that guy. I recall that he became very religious and decided that tickling was a sin of the very highest magnitude (sic). He then turned the old TMF into a religious site (is that still there by the way) and periodically returned to the new site to try and convert us. But that is as far as i know. Did he ever return to the TMF? Is he still out there on the internet? Is he still alive? Does anyone have any information on him (i think he was called scott)? Is this an acceptable thread? Perhaps the very mention of this persons name is not allowed any more?
Also the TMF used to be really something a few years back. Now it seems only a shaddow of its former self, all spontaneity and excitement eradicated by the red tape and rules and regulations by which we must now live in these forums. In the good old days there were only a couple of different areas to the forum and the clips section was excellent. I mean truly excellent! Now it seems somewhat dull and less energetic. I am not criticising this forum. It is still brilliant and the very best of its kind on the internet. But i just recall the early days as being a little bit more special. Ahh! Nostalgia! Does anyone have any stories of the good old days! I for one would welcome reading them.

Let me start by saying that I'm posting this response as a member and NOT as a mod. That having been said...

WOW!!! You covered a lot in one post.

First, about Scott (psycho). Last I knew he was getting ready to start formation to become a priest...a Capucian Monk if I remember correctly. I think that was a little over a year ago. (I had some interesting conversations with him since I had, at one time, been looking at going into the convent.) He made the decision to leave here because he could no longer satisfy his conscience that there was nothing wrong with it. That was his choice and his right. That he tried to convince others of his convictions for a time shows how intense his feelings were...though many didn't like it.

As for the way the TMF is now as opposed to in earlier times... I personally like it better. I can understand that some of the excitement that may have been gained from certain areas before may be different. But, I see a lot more excitement in other areas. Just a few examples...

1) There is MUCH more "community" involvement now than I've ever seen before. Many have actually come to know and care about one another.

2) There are a TON more sites and resources now than ever before.

3) There are people meeting (and even marrying) through the community.

4) There is information and experience being shared more than ever before.

I only flitted in and out a few times back in the early days. While it was okay, I never really found it to be a place I was drawn to spend any real amount of time at. About 3 years ago, I took another look and found it to be much more inviting. The "red tape, rules and regulations" (as few as they are) where a part of my reason for finally joining. I wanted a place where I wouldn't have to put up with all the flames and junk that went on other places. So, I guess it's a matter of what you're looking for and your perspective.

It seems obvious from your post that there are things you'd like to see changed. Would you be willing to share what those things are? I, for one, would like to hear other ideas. Even when I don't agree, I find alternate opinions to be helpful in identifying where things are at in general.

By far. better now than a couple of years ago. Much more material and of course the membership has skyrocketted.

I have no particular criticisms of the forum. But I do probably lament the end of the amateurish days of years ago. Back in the day it seemed that there was far less commercialism in tickling. Video producers were small-scale and run by committed individuals producing exciting, new and revolutionary work. They seemed more interested in pursuing projects for the shear thrill of it - and if they made a profit, well, all the better! Today, money would appear to be the main driving factor with pay-sites appearing by the barrel-load and with very few truly original works still being produced. MTP seems to have given up on the old video-producing days, and both MTP and RT feel the need to appeal to the broadest possible audiences. I know it is impossible to separate tickling and sex for many in this forum, but is it really necessary to finish a tickling video by giving a girl an orgasm with a vibrator? No longer do we get the quality three or four minute clips from video producers. Although perhaps i am being too critical? Things change. People move on. New producers are springing up all over the place. The last-laugh, french-tickling and others are filling the void left by the big-guns from the early days. French-tickling, in my opinion is the only producer that is offering truly interesting and exceptional work in the market-place today. We now have more access to tickling, more members involved in the community and more publicity than ever before (sexcetera, Yaqi etc.).
I miss the good-old days. I wonder what happened to that 15 year old lad who stumbled onto internet-tickling only four and a half years ago? He has grown up and the sweet shop that is the internet seems to have lost some of its majesty and novelty, but none of its appeal.

I myself joined the TMF when Psycho ran the ezboards forum. Obviously back then, it looked very rough compared to professional look the TMF has today. MTP Jeff has done a wonderful job putting it together, and Myriads is a true instigator of keeping the peace. AS mentioned in the main page, this is a flame-free forum, not like the AMT debacle I so frequently hear of...

I see where you're coming from Geordie, but most things in life usually evolve and improve. With htat, people's preferences help change that too. Sure, some won't like it, but usually, it satisfies the crowd as a whole.

And in any case, AMT (that is, alt.multimedia.tk) is still there for you, if you want an unmoderated free-for-all, where flames are possible, and posting is not censored. I go there myself sometimes, mostly to read, rarely to post.
