what is your favorite romance comedy. right now i think that mine would have to be a tie between Wimbledon and the Silence of the Lambs.

Honestly .... 'When Harry met Sally'.

It's a very funny movie that is so completely true.

I have a friend that has been that for years. She's my 'Sally'. The main difference is that we were an item for awhile but things got complicated and we broke it off. But I still dream of her all the time.

...And to top it off, she was insanely ticklish! Not that that was the main reason I fell in love with her. She's passionate, wild, and very attractive. She's also very down to earth. I've been with other girls since but she's the one I think about all the time.

Anyway, 'When Harry met Sally'

I love romantic comedies. Its hard to choose. Theres alot of classics, but a more recent one that I liked (from '94 actually) was I.Q. It was simple, it wasn't overdone or overplayed and it starred Meg Ryan, Tim Robbins, and the late Walter Matthau as Dr. Albert Einstein.

the hollywood brother likes most romantic comedies but lately they been getting to the hollywood brother due to lack of love in his life. now the hollywood brother do not want you to have too much pity for him because you never know what the future could hold for the heroic hollywood brother

"Life Is Beautiful," with Roberto Benigni and Nicoletta Braschi, the finest film of the last twenty years. The fresh, inventive humor of the first half will fill and strengthen your heart; the second half will shatter it, but leave you permanently enriched. It's also one of only three truly great comedies about Nazi Germany (the others being Charlie Chaplin's "The Great Dictator" and Ernst Lubitsch's "To Be or Not To Be.")

Three favorites here that "sorta" qualify as romantic comedies are "Amelie"(2001), a delightful French film by Jean-Pierre Journot; "Cabaret"(1972), by Bob Fosse; and "Summertime"(1955), by David Lean.

Hiya 😎

Actually i ADORE romantic comedies! :awe: Tear jerkers are awesome too, but let's stay on topic.

I'd have to say the Princess Diaries is number one. I really enjoyed it because it unfolds a story on so many levels. I can watch it again and again and get something new out of it every time. 😀

I suppose some runners-up would include: Love Actually, for its several different romantic stories, and Bridget Jones's Diary -the first one, because watching another woman suffer the attack of klutz-itis makes me feel A LOT better! *LOL* When i think of all the times i've totally embarrassed myself in romantic situations,,,,
And having Hugh Grant in the latter two definitely doesn't hurt! 😍

Anyway, those are my pics. 😛
Many blessings,
Chickles_🙂

I usually prefer comedy to romance but occasionally the two can combine to make something watchable.
"You've Got Mail" is one of my favorites. It was called something of an updated "Sleepless in Seatle" (both of these were remakes of older movies) which I also enjoyed...though I would have enjoyed it more if Tom Hank's kid wasn't so irritating. It's just hard to find a cuter couple than Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.
Speaking of Tom Hanks "That Thing You Do" is also a favorite movie of mine. "Shallow Hal" was a great movie. And though it was more of a "Lustful comedy" than a "Romantic comedy" I also have to put "American Pie" in there.
😀

Mmm, yes, they're okay. Do you count Meet the Parents as a romantic comedy? 😀

Actually, I just saw Guess Who, and it was pretty good. Kind of a Meet the Parents ripoff...but still good.

Actually it's a "Guess Who'd Coming to Dinner" rip off. 😛 Havent seen it though. I havent been to see a movie in a theater since...man...Star Wars ep. 1 maybe?

Perhaps they'll make a sequel combining the two! ("It's my SERVE, Clarice.")

HB going to the movies by myself is no fun 🙁 Going with a 3 year old is no fun either. Kinda makes me wish we knew people!

"Shaun of the Dead" - a romance comedy...with zombies

One of the best british movies I've seen.
