RPG Fans: What is your favorite Final Fantasy?

For me, it is EASILY Final Fantasy 7.....I don't think that Square will ever be able to top this masterful classic. How about you guys?

FF7 is the best as far as RPG's go. It's only topped by Lunar the Silver Star 🙂.

My favorite was Final Fantasy VI, though I really appreciated the Sphere Grid system introduced in FFX. As for Final Fantasy VIII, I think Shining Ice put it best. I hate that game. What the hell were they thinking? I got about an hour or so into it, by which time I was bored out of my mind, and just stopped.

Dame thats a hard question but i really liked ff10. Sweet story and cool characters. CAnt wait for ffx2.

I started with FF9, and that one remains my favorite. I'm finishing up FF7, now. It's a great story, too, although the graphics don't compare. And I like more side quests (besides breeding chocobos...) I worked backwards, so it took a loooooong time to get motivated enough to finish FF8. I still don't know why I bothered. Then, I actually got distracted with FF Tactics, which was a cool story and neat system. FF10 was just....well...different. The voices kind of distracted a little. But I liked the ABS better, and it was a plus being able to switch out characters as needed.
