........not much of a team guy is he? going out to practice in advance of the other players, saying that some big money tournament ment more to him than playing for his country, refusing to wear the same outfit as the other U.S. players, I think the U.S. Captain should have kicked his arse for him, what greater honour can you acheave in life than having the opportunity to represent your country? if he was not the world No 1 he would not have got away with it, not a great credit to his country, unlike the rest of the U.S. team who certainly were.
I thought this thread was far to mature, (with exception paid to good ol' Indy's remarks of course! 😀) so I decided to lower the tone again. Good match wasn't it? Makes me remember that story Sam Torrance told on They Think It's All Over about the golfer who shit his pants.............
I'm not afraid, but let's get back to golf for a sec...
I don't like Tiger Woods, either. Yes, he is the best player in golf. Yes, he is competitive, and that's good in any sport. But all that stuff he said and did at the Ryder Cup just perpetuates the notion that all American athletes have big egos and don't care about anything except making money, endorsing products, and winning championships. He is not representative of the many sports figures who actually do good for the community and contribute to society. In fact, he reminds me a lot of Michael Jordan. I guess that's what happens when you're praised as being the best in your sport! 🙂
