Sad news for Monty Python fans. Not a death, but......

Terry Jones is suffering from extreme dementia. Soon he won't be able to communicate, write, speak or even understand language.

This really breaks my heart. Aside from the fact that Terry Jones is my favorite Python, along with his writing partner, the great Michael Palin....... he directed those great movies, "Holy Grail" and especially "Life Of Brian" and was really the great "behind the scenes" energy of Python.

He also did a bunch of interesting and often very funny documentaries for the BBC about history, one of his passions.

For instance this one, "The History of Sex & Love"


When a great mind like this one is rendered helpless and cut-off from the world, we all lose out.

Poor Terry.

All of them are old, so I was expecting to see this sooner or later. But damn! Love them all, it really pained me to read this. I felt the same when I discovered about Terry Pratchett's Alzheimer

It could have been the Spanish Inquisition..... But seriously, definitely sad news about another great from the past. We always think they will go on forever as we saw them (well, in a way, they will), but life always hits us up side the head to remind us about the progress of time.
