Friends....

I went out last night for my normal Tuesday poker night...and as we talked one of my boys told me that Rodney Dangerfield had died, well........this guy likes to bust my balls alot, and does not understand why I like the humor of him so much, but..alas, I came home, and saw it on the news. To a great comdian...Rodney...will always live with in my jokes, and odd sense of humor....God Bless him, man.

Ya see man...this is what I don't get. Truly great human beings like Rodney are dieing and yet Barbara Walters is still kicking around. You want another example? Fine. Hunter S. Thompson...he's very very ill. ...WHY?!! Yet another great man!
...maybe I'm not suppose to understand it... :sigh:

true, true. i felt that ping of pain in my heart too. 2004 is a bad year, we lost, what? about 5 celebrtities so far?

a truly sad day, is when hugh hefner kicks the bucket, i mean he's got such an awesome career, guys are kicking and screaming to be his replacement i'll bet.

but dangerfield was a legend, had the king of all 1 liners. as a true comic fan, tis a sad day.

I was sad to hear that Rodney Dangerfield passed away too. He was a funny man and nowdays not too many comidiens make themselves the butt of most of their jokes and still be as funny as Rodney was. It was interesting to read that he appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson over seventy times.

a classic quote from him: " when i was born, i was so ugly the docter slapped my mother! "

I was blown away when I heard the news of Rodneys death. He will be missed. He was one of the funniest. A sad day in the world of comedy. He had more respect then even HE knew. He had mine and will have it wherever he has moved on to.

Rest well Rodney.

the Hollywood brother gets no resepct. The Hollywood brother goes to the doctor with the problem of water on the knee. The doc gives him a sponge and charges him a outrageous amount. The hollywood brother gets no respect....You will be sroely missed Mr. Dangerfield.

One of the amazing things about him is his appeal to many generatiosn, thanks to movies like Caddyshack and Back to School....I'm fortunate to be old enough to remember his act pre-Caddyshack. A very talented man and testemant that you can succeed if you keep trying. To think he was a paint salesman before he decided to try again.
I've seen George Burns, Bob Hope, Milton Burle, Jack Benny, and now Rodney pass on. They don;t make comics like them anymore...a big loss...

ya know, it's great men like him you don't think about dying, ya think barbara walters, or bob barker's gonna kick the bucket. but geez felt like i took a shot to the chest when i logged on the net to come here, and on my homepage's news there it was. i laughed til i cried when i seen him, even in small parts like in Little Nicky he was great. i never got to see caddyshack or any other of his movies, but i will now.

what exactly did he die of? what was the surgery for that caused it?

You gotta go rent Caddyshack, that was Rodney's greatest movie performance.

"Ok Wang this club is restricted so dont' tell 'em yer Jewish, OK? FIne."

"Why the last time I saw a mouth like that it had a hook in it."

"Hey honey, I bet you were something before electricty huh?"

Classic Stuff - RIP Rodney.
