Saving Pictures

I have never seen this problem before when I right click on a picture I can only save them as Bitmap pictures even if the file is jpg or gif. Some pictures save OK but many do not since Bitmap pictures take up more room I rather save them as jpgs or gifs. I think perhaps this might be something to do with Windows XP.

Odd, that sounds like some preference has been checked in your download manager. Check the browser and the windows software in both areas.

I thought it might be something like that but I can't find any preferences in Internet Explorer or in Windows XP that would explain it. It seems that if when I right click the image it can't identify it as a jpg or gif it gets downloaded as a bitmap. However if the picture is recognized as gif or jpg then it saves fine. Perhaps it is a file association problem with Paint Shop Pro but everything was fine a week ago.
