what scary movie character(s) are you most terrified of? i need movie ideas for halloween.... i am totally scared of chuckie myself!!

I have to say Michale Meyers. Also I love Freddy but not that scared of him.

Krueger is a comic, and Robert Englund never fails to impress! Jason and Michael are wonderful characters of amoralism. I will choose Jason Vorhees, simply because of the magick-spin they gave his character in Jason Goes To Hell. But, Rob Zombie, did a fine re-take on the Michael Myers saga. It was real, and simply the Texas Chainsaw Massacre with one egoist, and not a wretched dysfunctional family. Note: the Myers family was dysfunctional, but they were not like the family from Texas.

The closest to scary movie monsters for me would probably be the Xenomorphs. Not because I couldn't kick their ass, I could. I just don't want to get their blood on me...

The world and creatures of Silent Hill are my current favorite.

It's ashamed that the movie Friday will bomb completely......I mean, I haven't seen ONE commercial on TV or at the movies for it,
and had to search to find a trailer online.

I hope I'm wrong, I liked the first movie, and I'd love for this to become a series, but damn people...advertise your damn movie!

You are funny. 🙂

How about the Re-Animator?

Silent Hill... That movie is a grade A! I love the psychological thriller. What is the other movie you are talking about?

When I was a kid and first saw Night of the Living Dead, I was completely floored! The whole concept of zombies springing up all around, slowly coming to outnumber those who are still alive, being forced to hole up somewhere...that shit was scary to me! Also, you know, the whole being eaten alive thing isn't a pleasant way to go.

Ironically, my favorite movie monster would be werewolves. Go figure!

I haven't seen silent hill. sounds interesting!

silent hill rocks!! Based on the video game I think the director did a good job in keeping the disturbed creep factor the game is known for. I can't wait to see silent hill 2 when it comes out.

Love horror movies! I remember watching hellraiser when I was a kid and pinhead scared the shit out of me so i'd have to say pinhead was the scariest for me.

I am a big horror fan. I loved the Halloween movies. There is something scary about a killer in your local neighborhood.

I always find the scariest characters are the ones that appear so normal, almost warm in their personality, making you least expect them to be terrible, evil monsters.

The supernatural-themed stuff is what gets under my skin. That said, some incredible horror movies utilize this well (listed below):

If you're looking for a great movie playlist for Halloween, then I recommend the following:

The Haunting (ORIGINAL, of course)
The Changeling
The Exorcist
Halloween I, II, IV
The Evil Dead I & II
The Shining
Insidious
Hellraiser
The Mist
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (ORIGINAL of course)
Friday the 13th
A Nightmare on Elm Street (ORIGINAL if you want classic Freddy, REMAKE if you want rape-y Freddy)
Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead (original and remake are both good oddly enough)
The Cabin in the Woods

As for me, I intend to spend Halloween gorging myself on a Friday the 13th marathon. All told: 18.5 hours total. WOO-HOO!

I agree on the monster-being-revealed, but I also love the blatant. And both get satisfied for me in The Thing ('82) between the high tension of paranoia surrounding very grounded and desperate characters, and some of the most imaginative and freaky creatures on film. Any of those would be a bitch of a costume.

Freddy, Xenomorphs and Leatherface are all classic. Add in the American Werewolf in London wolf. If you want an easy costume, might I recommend Hobo with a Shotgun.

But if you want actual childhood scares, you're looking more at Large Marge or the clown doctors from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.

The clown from the movie Poltergeist was pretty feaky

Sounds like some great movies! some of those will definitely have to wait until i have someone to watch them with that i can hide behind!! if i watch them alonei won't sleep for a week!!! lol
