I know what you mean. I managed to find the Treasury edition of the Scary Stories book at Borders' years back. It contains all three books together in a hardback version. The stories don't scare me as much nowadays, but the illustrations still bring back the memories of sleepless nights. Definately a good set. Journia, I'd suggest Amazon or a few online used book stories if you've haven't already.
The best thing I liked about these books was that they always ended with a set of comical stories, such as the ghost in the child's room who blows raspberries or the tale of the Slithery Dee, who came out of the sea.
