After American Graffiti, there were lots of movies about 50s and 60s youth like "The Lords of Flatbush", "The Wanderers" and "Diner". One of the best was "Cooley High" which basically tells a similar coming-of-age-in-the-60s story, but from an African-American perspective.
This scene....a situation we can all relate to.....is a guy and a girl trying to break the ice. I've always had the hugest crush on this actress and this scene.
