Is anyone else concerned about anonymity? This is what puts me off arranging/attending a gathering in Scotland. We're all so closely connected in this country...I've lived in Glasgow/Edinburgh for about 8yrs, and these days if I go to a party or similar anywhere in the central belt I inevitably meet someone who's a friend of a colleague of a friend. Or something like that.

Possibly, I'm being over-cautious...but it also makes the issue of a venue difficult. Somewhere public would be...public...and not everyone would feel safe meeting at a private venue.
