Search not working

When I use the quick search or advanced search a screen comes up with a fatal error message. What's going on?

If you search for a term that is too common, an error will result. Try searching more specifically. For example, searching "tickle" will almost certainly result in an error, as so many posts have tickle in them. A search like "tickle art by snail shell" or "nylon foot tickling" would be more specific (and the latter might even be too common).
