I was told recently that feet loose their sensitivity with time do you think this true.

Sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me, since my feet are probably the only spot where it's really "bad".

womens nails on my feet use to drive me crazy, but since i got diabetes i cant feel anything from mid-calf on down.

Usually they get more sensitive- however certain health conditions (or lack of proper footcare) could lead to less sensitivity.

I don't think that happens, if you take care of your feet.

One of my exes was 50 and while his feet weren't especially ticklish, I was able to get some laughs out of him.

Another ex is in his late forties. When we were together, he know I liked feet, and would go to a podiatrist to make sure they were always in shape. His feet were very sensitive, a simple foot-rub could cause him to go into hysterics.

Ugh, my feet are profoundly more ticklish now than they were when I was younger. I don't remember being so completely unable to keep my sh!t together when they were touched or handled back in, say, high school or even in college. God help me if they just keep getting more susceptible over time.

Aww, poor Wade.

My feet have their extremely sensitive spots, but they might be slightly less sensitive than they were.

Or I've just learned to handle it better...

From my personal experience, this is untrue. I've been steadily tickling my gf's feet for six years and counting now (with appropriate rest in between for the mere details; like food, work, bathroom breaks etc), and if anything her feet seem to have gotten more sensitive.

I say that it is very true...and it can happen in more than one way...but I'll just put one reason.

If someone happens to focus on the feet for too long, it may still bee effective to those that are ticklish there...but the nervous system will eventually get used to that and slowly but sure it become less ticklish....the worse case are if someone don't happen to stop in a good time and leave it alone long enough then it'll be a risk of making their feet no longer ticklish and foot-tickling lover will be disappointed ad/or confuse (if they are dumb to realize it).

And that is as much reason as I know about that one.

I don't know if thats true because can the sensitivity of the nerves on the feet really change? i didn't think the nerves can like stop being ticklish.

I understand your opinion...but I think it's actually true.

You may not believe it...but I remember tickling a person that used to be just friend and ends up being my god-family. I tickled that spot for so long and for so many time....now that person is no longer ticklish there. I must admit that I was disappointed....but since I was needed to get the ticklish out...I was kinda happy.

Yeah well i did wonder though because my one female friend who likes tickling too i always get afraid that if i tickle her feet too much that they will not be ticklish anymore i mean she's ticklish everywhere but still she has the best reaction when tickled on her feet.

I see. Well don't worry. As long as you give it time to give it a break and also add something to make it more ticklish...like lotion or baby oil...it might not happen very easilly and the fun for you and your female friend.

P.S. You're so lucky.

It may be true to some degree... as the feet are walked on everyday so thicker skin developes and nerve endings are not as responcive so as to not bombard the brain if it happens constantly... but tickling shouldnt really have this effect i dont think as its light touching to the skin and its not like ppl do it for extended hours of every day, like walking.

Shall be interesting to see if anyone can proove it though
🙄rolleyes:wub:blush😛issed:cry

Thanks! i'll keep those tips in mind.

I actually forgot about that one a bit...for it mostly happens if they walk about barefoot in certain places. Maybe rough place or somewhere hard and flat...who knows.

If you start losing your sensitivity it could be a medical problem.🙁

Well that's one way of putting it...but to some that don't like feet, are probably glad that happened somehow.

I think it depends upon the person. There is a lady who attends local kink parties that has to be in her late 50s and her feet are super sensitive and ticklish.

Sensitive Feet

The sensitivity of my soles hasn't really changed through the years; they've always been really ticklish.

My, wife, however, professes that her feet are far less sensitive to tickling now, than they were when we met ten years ago.

This is consequently reflected in her reaction when tickled upon the soles.

Compared to when we first started dating, in 2000, she would laugh and wriggle with the simplest of touches, when stimulated upon the soles of her size 8's.

Ten years on, however, she can simply lie on the couch/bed and allow me to tickle her soles, only reacting when I apply a medium intensity (Feathers and artist's brushes no longer achieve a reaction).

More frustratingly, her soles are in a much softer and smoother condition today, compared to their condition in 2000.

My feet are more ticklish now than ever. A good session will spend a good time on different parts of the foot so that they don't become desensitized at once, then switch to another body part and then to the other foot. Heels, then sides of foot, then arches, then tops, then balls of feet, then toes! keeps the laughter lasting longer! :lol

sensitivity

I suppose this depends on the individual but I have encountered ( and delighted) in finding the feet of some 40-ish females with highly ticklish feet.

Nope as a newly qualified senior citizen..ack..i can say my feet are as sensitive as when i was a child..

Makes a better lee of you isabeau...

I think the bottom line is that age doesn't matter too much as long as you take care of your feet.
