Weather isn't supposed to be like this in February in NYC.

Severe Storms now approaching the city?

A Tornado Watch?

Is this February, or July?

What a fun night this is going to be.

Lots of trees down and flooding, but amazingly no power outages.

Still crazy though.

NYC had heavy thunderstorms last night, where I couldnt be on the computer for a while, but no tornadoes to my knowledge.

Thunderstorms last night, very windy with rain this afternoon. The wind killed my umbrella, turning it inside out and bending all the spokes, so I let it go and watched fly northward on Broadway.

Yup, it was not that far from me. 😱

This was a very strong storm system; unusually intense for February. I expected a few tornadoes in North Carolina and southern Virginia, but was surprised by their ferocity, and strong tornadoes occurring as far north as Pennsylvania. I believe the EF2 tornado in Lancaster was the first EF2 or stronger tornado of record for PA during the month of February.
