Silence of the Lambs

Anyone else read this book? I picked it up expecting to be seriously messed up by what I was about to read, but I just didn't find it that scary.

I've been told by a couple of people that the book wasn't that scary and the movie is quite freaky.

Any thoughts?

I liked "Silence", both book and movie. Didn't like book "Hannibal", and chose not to see the movie.

Try Harris's other books. You may like them better. The interesting part is getting inside the heads of the characters.

"Red Dragon" - another hunt for a serial killer. Movie version is called "Manhunter".

"Black Sunday" - Arab terrorists plot to blow up the Super Bowl and kill 1000's of Americans. Movie version has same title and some great action scenes.

As usual...the book is much better than the movie produced. But Silence of the Lambs as a film does an admirable job I thought, with the acting talents of Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. Hannibal did not scare or amuse me and did not make me want to see the movie (even less since Foster bowed out though I don't blame her). Red Dragon is seriously warped...if you weren't turned off by Silence of the Lambs or Hannibal, I suggest you give that one a try...shiverrrrrrr...

Red Dragon

I bought this book because I enjoy psychological thrillers. Red Dragon was not that great. I ended up dropping it and began reading "Interveiw with a Vampire"--great book. A really great book to read is "Valentine" by Tom Savage. The movie, sucked!!

Why read the book when you can watch the movie 🙄 😛 😛 😀
