Anyone else see the video from the weigh-in?
Oh yeah, one of the better staredowns I've seen in a while.
I'm not the biggest Anderson fan either, but he does have the incredible ability to shock and awe just when you start to question him.Aside from the occassional KO of various fighters, that's probably the last high profile moment for Vitor Belfort.Although a rematch with Wanderlei would make for some great hype.
Jones vs Shogun should be interesting.
F**kin' A! As a huge Shogun fan,it's a very interesting match up and I'm definately pulling for him.The one huge factor in this fight will be the lay off Rua has been through.Despite the amazing, ever emerging skill set of Bones, the only advantages I see for him are his reach and the aforementioned layoff for Shogun.
Shogun's striking, grappling(submissions at least, not overall offensive or defensive wrestling) and experience should make him the heavy, realistic favorite but time off will play a big factor. His technique looked great in the Coleman fight after a lay off, but appeared as if he was running on 'E' shortly into the bout.
On the co-main event, gosh,Franklin looked so small.Forest is well known as a large LHW but it was very, very apparent in this fight They looked a couple weight classes apart easliy and that's unfortunate for Ace who must find himself in a bit of a predictament between divisions.
Anyone have thoughts on BJ/Fitch??....What a fantastic fight.Personally I think it would be a greater accomplishment for BJ to defeat Fitch than vice versa. The only shame will be if it's a close bout at the conclusion of fifteen minutes because this should be a five rounder.
