I didn't think it would ever happen again in my lifetime. I watched the 72 Dolphins as a kid pull the perfecto. Now, the Patriots pull the even harder feat and go 16-0 as opposed to the Dolphins 14-0 in the season.

Congratulations to the Patriots!

Now, I offer for serious discussion for all you NFL fans:

All seriousness aside, can anyone beat the Patriots in the playoffs or the Super Bowl?

The Colts have the hsitory of beating them in the past, Jacksonville is peaking at the right time. I'm not sure that any NFC team (i.e. the Packers or the Cowboys) can do it. I think Indy and JAX has the best shot.

What do y'all think?

i don't wanna sound like a hata but i was wishing fo the pats to lose, i'm an eagles fan myself(we sucked this year 🙁 ) but i think the colts will pull through the second round but still props on pats for 16-0

Yeah, it's impressive that they pulled it out since they were only able to cheat their way through a little over half the season. How quickly we forget. [no knock on you personally, ky... the public in general]

And yes, I know... the players still have to play. Tom Brady has to make throws, the line has to block... blah blah blah. But Barry Bonds [another a-hole] has only been "suspected"[innocent till proven guilty, which he is] of cheating and look at the way he's been treated for the last couple years. The Pats are caught on video doing it and they pay a fine and it's all over. I really hope they lose. For some reason, they're getting a pass on things others are crucified for. Not to mention I'm completely sick of hearing about them.... except for the cheating part. I could listen to them being exposed on ESPN on a loop.

Yeah, so they did it.
I hope they get their asses handed to them.

A 16 - 0 season won't mean much to the Patriots if they don't win the Super Bowl. I think they will win it all but they will have to play very well to win the AFC crown. I don't think there is a team in the NFC that can beat them but they will have to take it one game at a time in order to be crowned Super Bowl Champs. I would like to see somebody beat them but I don't think that will happen.

the pats go 16-0 but could of easily lost a few games. now as far as the eagles sucking, well the hollywood brother thinks it was just a off year. the eagles still got Number 5 on offense and number 20 on defense. Also if the hollywood brother memory is working properly, it seems to the hollywood brother that if Feeley did not throw so many interceptions that Pats would be 15-0. Now the real wuestion is are the pats this good or did they continue to cheat and will they go all the way or lose in the playoffs

true that hollywood, eagles could have easily won a lot of there games but just bad luck hit them, ravens were another team close to beating them too

Agreed. If the Giants secondary hadn't choked there in covering Moss in the 4th quarter, the Giants win. I think that is the template, along with the Eagles game, on how to beat the Patriots. Whether any remaining team is able to execute it for all 4 quarters is the $ 64,000 question.

Hopefully other teams will see how the giants were beating them until they fell apart. I think the key is pressuring Brady and not giving Moss free touchdowns.

We need to keep in mind too that Tom Brady, Randy Moss and all of the starters have played every single game... even though they are relatively young: fatigue should play a factor, especially when they come to a place where they are REQUIRED to go undefeated and that is the playoffs, if they are to win the Super Bowl.

Having the BYE should help the Pats rest up, but I don't know. I don't think the Colts can beat them since they are missing many pieces from they're Super Bowl Winning defense from last year as well as Marvin Harrison still being out. While the NFC generally is not good, I'm not sold that they can't win the Super Bowl against the Patriots. I think both the Packers and the Cowboys can put up a defensive fight against the Pats offense, though it will be difficult and as the Eagles, the Ravens and the Giants' offenses showed, the Pats defense can be broken.

It is a tough call but I'll go against the grain and say an NFC team will win the Super Bowl this year.
