According to the WPVI website, singer Justin Bieber has been arrested, and charged with Drag Racing, and DUI.

Just saw this posted on my Facebook page as an alert from the WPVI website.

The story is right on the front page of the WPVI website as I post this.

If you guys were to lock him up for a number of years (say forever) I don't think anyone in Canada would mind a bit. No, definitely time to get tough on crime. Make an example out of him.

I don't know what bothers me more about him; the fact that he was arrested for DUI and is STILL two years from being able to drink legally, or the fact that he seems totally clueless about how his actions can and do affect others. His behavior is reprehensible. His mom pleads with the public to help him and not hate him. I have a hard time having sympathy for her, actually I feel sorry for her, she is his MOTHER for heaven's sake. You are the adult in the relationship. Step up and take that responsibility!!

All I could add to this is....there are many hardened inmates in state prisons who are just applauding this recent news.

What Bugs me about all this is that there are People out there who just refer to Him as a "Misguided Kid", and should be let go. And Charges against him should be Dropped entirely.

While Richard Sherman gave a 20 Second Emotional Interview, and all of a Sudden he's the Biggest Uneducated Thug in the World. Now I'll admit, it wasn't the Classiest thing to do.

Is Sherman a little Arrogant? Sure. But he's nowhere close to being a Thug.

A "Thug" is defined as a Violent Person or Criminal.

Sherman-
:Has a Clean Criminal Record
:Is a Big Charity Guy. He's always helping out Underprivileged Youth.
:Graduated from Stanford with a 3.9 GPA, and is getting his Masters in Communication. (So calling him Uneducated is just Pointless)

Bieber-
:Has been Arrested for DUI & Resisting Arrest.
:Has been caught doing Drugs
:Has gone after a Reporter
:Has Egged a Neighbors House

If this had occurred here in Canada and was his first DUI and also his first time resisting arrest, he would probably receive a hefty fine, lose his drivers license for 6 months and be placed on probation for the same period, because the legal drinking age here is 19. However, he could receive up to 6 months in jail if he was unable to pay his fine or if they decided to make an example of him. I very much doubt that Justin Bieber would have a problem coming up with $5,000, and he wouldn't be sent to prison, he would most likely be spend 2-3 months in the county lockup. If he was underage he would probably get off with a conditional discharge, a smaller fine, if any, loss of his license for 6 months and be placed on probation for the same length of time. Since his name just happens to be Justin Bieber, a free concert might solve everything. Money talks and bullshit walks.
