Skilled ticklers or just extremely ticklish people??

I read a lot of these tickle stories and see that these ticklers are descibed as "skilled". I was wondering, can someone really be a good (skilled) tickler or does it all depend on how ticklish the ticklee is??
My thinking is it depends on the ticklee. I mean, you can have perfect manicured nails, with non-stop wiggle action. But if the 'lee is not that ticklish...it really doesn't matter, right? Or vice-versa, if the 'lee is super ticklish, you can probably tickle them with your wallet and they'd go crazy.

it goes both ways. A "skilled" tickler can possibly get a good reaction from someone not especially ticklish. Also if someone is just THAT ticklish they can about die from the actions of someone who is not terribly skilled.
But there is certainly a lot of skill involved. Not only in the physical sense but also being in tune with the lee's emotional state so that you may constantly alter your technique to best fit the situation. 🙂

"if the 'lee is super ticklish, you can probably tickle them with your wallet and they'd go crazy."

At times, I could be considered hyper-ticklish, so I cannot provide an opinion from a tickler's standpoint. Yet, I do agree with what Nessonite mentioned: "But there is certainly a lot of skill involved. Not only in the physical sense but also being in tune with the lee's emotional state so that you may constantly alter your technique to best fit the situation." With that said, it is wonderful to have a tickler who understands my needs and enjoys tickling me with patience and love.

I guess I could say, weither or not that it matters......or not, that skilled ticklers probably have much experiance in the field of, um, tickleology.....

You know, like how people learn how to ride a bike.

That would probably be me. But there have been certain individuals who have been able to throw me into hysteria much more effortlessly than others. Some of those were girlfriends or close friends who knew me well, so surely their evil success had something to do with psychology and interpersonal chemistry.

But there have also been acquaintances and less-close friends who have been peculiarly, notably deft at tickling me as well. In those cases I can only surmise it has nothing to do with their skill or my psychology and everything to do with some weird synchronicity between the way they choose to move their fingers and the idiosyncratic sensitivities of my nerve endings.

Needless to say, I've yet to meet anyone who tried to tickle me but failed...

Actually it takes both. A good or skilled tickler and a very ticklish ticklee or victim. You can have a very ticklish victim and if the tickler is not good at all.....it won't be as effective as it would if the tickler knew what to do and how to tickle.....where...... how long, etc etc. It all adds up and everything counts.

On the other side of the coin, you can have the best tickler in the world and it would't mean squat if the victim was not ticklish or not that ticklish.

i think BEYOND being emotionally connected to someone, people could just be a Natural tickler... for example, I met this girl at my friend's house. and, I had learned her name, ect. but thats about it, I'm laying there, staring at the ceiling whilst having a conversation with a friend, and she just pokes, me, I flinch, she jumped on me and tickled the crap outta me, and y'know... it was much more ticklish than if it was some random friend of mine, its like... she practiced or something, hahaha. So, I think the ticklishness matters, how well you know somebody/relationship with them, as well as they're personal skill in tickling. How you up this skill? I guess you tickle people alot? Hah.

the hollywood brother think it reallly up to the lee how enjoyable the whole thing is

It depends on how we understand the notion "a skilled tickler". In my opinion this means a person who has tickled a lot of people, knows how to asses ticklishness on the basis of the ticklee`s reactions and has his/her own techniques of tickling. Of course, the ticklishness of the ticklee is important because the experience of the tickler is not enough when the ticklee is not ticklish at all (I know such people).

hmm..

I think some skill comes into play. I don't meet to many people that suck at it but once in awhile, thank goodness. Either the technique is too rough, or they stay too long in one spot, which starts to hurt after awhile~I'm just too sensitive...

XOXO

I have heard that I am a good LER based on exactly what Steph said. I move around. I never concentrate on one spot. I give lots of breaks and I am always asking if the LEE is alright. I find using different tools and moving to different spots on the LEE is most enjoyable for the LEE.

i believe there is skill to tickling. One can dig to hard and hurt rather than tickle.or be to soft and either get little response to a very ticklish area or just create an itch.Hell i think we've all seen videos from time to time where we thought the ler was doing an aweful job
