Skipping words when typing, using the wrong words......

I am experiencing a phenomenon I never have experienced in my life.

I got put in typing class when I was in 7th grade because my handwriting was so bad. To drive the point home, they made me take it again in 8th grade. I loved it because, among other things, I was always writing something.....so....even in my spare time, you might find me typing on occasion.

It's great they did that.....because I've been able to do office work from time to time. I'm a musician and so I could go on tour, and then when I came back, I could take a temp job if I needed it.

The last time I was tested was 90 words per minute, with zero errors (which by the way, accounts for my very long posts and emails.....it takes nothing to hammer out ten paragraphs!).

That is until two weeks ago.

Suddenly, I am skipping words, using the wrong words, and can't conjure up the correct words. The other day I couldn't arrive at the word "piqued". I substituted the word "copy" for "coupon" and "you" for "I". I'm having a hard time just remembering things, things I've known my whole life....placing names to faces..........What the.....?!!!

I would say.....every three or four sentences.....an error. This also includes when I'm texting, which I do very slowly. And it happens whether or not I'm typing fast, or whether or not I slow down.

It's freaking me out. I'm convinced it's neurological. On the other hand, my sleep has been very weird. I live in a music studio, so....I can be woken up by the sound of a session or a band practicing or someone playing their drums...at like 3 in the morning. Or 4 in the morning.

Also I'm working from home now (that's one reason I've been posting so much). And when my shift ends....I sometimes fall asleep at, like, 7.....and wake up at 2! Or midnight! My eyes are pracitically stinging when the day ends.

Ok, so I just went back and corrected this post, four "missing "words that I had to fill in. Maybe that doesn't so bad, but for me.....that just doesn't happen.

Well...anyways, if my threads and posts start reading weird......or my emails.....that's why.

SO.......is it just me? Does this happen to anyone else? Is this just age? Is this just being in front of a screen too much?! Is it time to visit a neurologist? Please, not that! I need to be able to type accurately for my job, this is very bizarre. Everyone I talk to says, "oh yeah, I do that all the time", but did it just come on suddenly, within a two-week period?

I'd be a lot quicker to blame the sleep issues than something neurological. Is there any way you can stabilize your sleep schedule, and see if that fixes things?

Yeah, I agree. I just have to get my sleep schedule under control, it's been completely wacky for months. That has to be it. One day I go to bed at 11, wake up at 4. I fall asleep at 7, wake up at midnight....totally, that has to be it.

I will never blame the TMF, though! It couldn't be because of that, lol!

Anyways, thanks for the advice, I'm just whining like a baby!
