ok ok ok..do you all have those electrical outlets with the red thingie that will automatically shut the outlet down if there is danger of shock??? well...at least once a week, i plug either my dryer or my straightening iron in, only to hear that inevitable click...and once again i was saved from the brink of death...i think to myself...would i be dead if i didn't have this feature??? hmm the mind works in such ways..

I changed a ballast on a florescent ceiling light without killing the breaker first. You know those 4 lamp 8-footers you see in the store, yeah, one of those. Its not as difficult as it seems, just don't touch the white and black wires at the same time. However, I was rushing to get it done. I did get a good zap when the wires both touched the metal casing. That was not fun, especially at the top of a 16ft ladder. LOL.

^ yikessssssssssss you were super lucky...ahh hubby used to play in a band, and he touched a mike or something and got zapped so badly he got knocked across the stage..

and damn if i didn't set that thing off again yesterday..lol
