I've known her for well-on twenty years, and we were sitting around drinking a bottle of champagne (it gets her giggly fast), and I told her of this little enterprise, and she said, "bring it on!" As if she thought she could stand having her toes tied so she couldn't move and my bringing out all the evil toys in the bag.

Boy, she learned fast. 🙂

But, lucky for you (and me!), she had a great time, and was more than willing to pose for a few shots before the fun began -- even one where you get to see more than just the soles of her feet. I've been "bribing" her with fabulous shoes for any number of years, because she's a dear friend and because I like looking at her feet. It made it just a little easier to get to this point. Oh -- and she had so much fun, don't be surprised if she agrees to do the stockings thing at some point in the future too (so quit bugging me about it! 🙂 )...

Manuel, I've been thinking about this (and working on some other problems it entails)...

For the most part, since I've had only two complaints about format, it's not keeping me up at night. But I want people to see this stuff -- I love you guys, but I'm not totally altruistic -- and I only have the capability to convert to AVI or MPGs. No WMV or RM (either of which would be my choice).

With those parameters, what would people prefer?

It is all about the movie player. I still can't figure out what technical details people run into regarding being able to play different movie formats. Especially, when all players are "free" nowadays.

MOV, AVI and MPG clips will play with the Quicktime player from Apple, WMV with the Windows Movie Player, and RM with the RealPlayer. There are also other players like MPlayer that play many formats including DVIX. All of them are available for Windows and Mac OS X and are free.

So, if it is a matter of choice, I personally prefer MOV, AVI or MPG due to the quality. However, I am OK with anything that is easier for the producer. Beggers can't be choosers... 🙂

I wasn't too much into the older versions Real Player, but the last version of Real Player is able to play nearly all video formats (almost the most current) like RM, MPEG, AVI, WMV, MOV, DivX, ASF... And this last version is able to play all these formats in full screen (a good option that QuickTime Player hasn't got), able to loop clips (replay them automaticaly, like Windows Media Player does well, but older Real Player versions didn't) and able to play a list of clips (by selecting many clips before running them).

Now, i'm using Windows Media Player for MPEG, WMV, AVI, ASF and DivX (by default) and Real Player for all other formats.

Hey, if I could find a free program that runs on a Mac and converts MOVs to WMVs, I'd be all over your request in a hot second.

I used to have a program for the Mac that did it for RMs, but I don't even know if it exists any more...
