So happy you cried

I have not talked to my best friend for 6 month's. He called me today. After we talked, and I hung up I actualy cried.Has anybody else been so happy they cried?This is a first for me.

Aw, that's nice he called. And even better that it was about something awesome enough to make you cry happy tears.

Only once. My girlfriend at the time was so embarrassed about saying "I love you" that she wrote it on a note and hid it under my coffee cup while she ran to the bathroom so I could read it. I was so surprised/happy that she cared so much about the word 'love' as I do and that she was so embarrassed to even say it to another person.

On my 18th birthday celebration my brother jumped out of a huge wrapped box-I hadn;t seen him in a few years coz he lived down in London. Anyway he told me he couldn't make my party because he was working. Even on the night of the party he told me he was sorry he couldn't be there. Then when I arrived at the party my family said there's a big parcel for you to open. I had no idea what it could have been and then he appeared with a huge grin on his face and said surprise. First time I had ever cried from being so happy- I was speechless. lol.
Second time was when the same brother asked me to be bridesmaid at his wedding.
Definately two moments I will never forget.

I never cried out of happiness....rarely out of sorrow, even for the dead, I actually only shed little tears to a memory of past.

Happy tears almost never make any sense, but I always feel human again whenever they occur. Like somewhere buried deep down in there, I do still care.
