....And it is safe to say that I learnt a number of very interesting things during the journey, and also as I walked around the city of Cologne. Here are just a few of them!
> It is difficult to stand upright, eat Skittles, and drink 7-Up when the ferry is bobbing up and down due to choppy waters.
> Eurolines coach drivers are ignorant, chain-smoking twerps. But they do drive quickly.
> Never, EVER wear a hat when you visit Cologne Cathedral.
> The autobahn system IS the last refuge on Earth for fast drivers and high-powered cars.
> The phrase 'Danke Schoen' will get you through most situations, even if you don't speak the language fluently. When combined with a smile, you can't go wrong (probably)
> That the scent of freshly-baked pretzels and frankfurters inside a busy train station is almost overwhelming, but in a good way.
Already looking forward to my next road trip 🙂
