Well, I have been watching tons, and I mean tons of Anime for the past 3 or 4 months, and I thought I would give the anime fans here at the TMF an idea of what I thought about the following titles:
Rurouni Kenshin (the tv series)
Love Hina
Inuyasha
Chobits
Ok.
Chobits 8.5 out of 10
I really liked this one, the whole series worked rather well. The fact that Chi is incredibly cute doesn't hurt things either...The series is about a guy named Hideki Motosuwa who is a ronin who is from the country, but moved to the big city to go to school. To make a long story short, Chobits is about Hideki and his Persocon (Robots who are so lifelike in thier appearance and actions that you would think they were human, aside from the big, metal ears =P) ....It is a very dramitic, in depth series, especially the last few episodes. That is also where I fault the show, as in my opinion, the ending was rather bad. It just did not tie up the series nicely...left too many unanswered questions. Overall though, I give Chobits two thumbs up! Check it out.
Rurouni Kenshin 9.5 out of 10
Wow. All I can say is wow. This series defines the word classic..it's memorable characters, AWESOME fights, excellent animation and absolutely phenomeonal story will keep you enthralled to the very end. Rurouni Kenshin is about a Samurai named Kenshin Himoura, a former manslayer in fuedal Japan. He has swore to never kill again, and now is a mere wanderer, wandering to forget his past, and try to move on....I absolutely loved this series, as a matter of fact, it's my 2nd favorite anime, period. DEFINETLY check it out.
Love Hina 9 out of 10
I am a huge fan of the "Romantic Comedy" type anime, and Love Hina is a shining star in that department. The story follows Keitaro, a young man who is trying to get into Tokyo University to fufill a promise he made years ago to a little girl. He is summoned by his grandmother to take over as manager of the Hinata apartments while she goes on vacation. Much to his shock and dismay(yea right!), the Hinata apartments turn out to be an all-girls dorm! A guy managing a teenage all girls dorm...I'll leave it to your imagination =P .....The whole series is hilarious, and it get's quite dramatic as well. Check it out.
Inuyasha 10 out of 10
This is my all-time favorite anime. The series is just perfect. It has everything you could want in an anime, It's funny, dramatic, action-packed, and best of all, just fun to watch. The story follows Kagome, a teenage schoolgirl who stumbles down an ancient well and finds herself in a different dimension, fuedal Japan, actually. She eventually meets Inuyasha, a half-demon who wants to become a pure demon. I don't want to give anything away, so let's just say that something happens and Kagome and Inuyasha must stick together. watching these two interact with each other is usually hilarious, and they meet many different friends (and foes) on thier journey. Trust me, if you like anime, you MUST see Inuyasha. It's the best anime I've ever seen. Check it out.....OR DIE!! ...kidding of course =P
