I figured this would be the most appropriate place to post this, so here goes:

Me and a friend of mine are taking a huge gamble with this but my friend and I are planning to start our own professional wrestling company called NLWA, though it is currently in its beginning stages. We intend to have either a 6 sided wrestling ring or a 16-foot ring and we intend to have matches from our shows put on youtube.com to start out with.

What is your opinion on this?

go for it, promote the indie circuit material

but it has to be some nice shit and not some boring stuff just for attention

Oriya is right. Don't just do alot of unnecessary maneuvers, at least at first. Try your best to have your guys well-based in technical mat skills first and then allow them to have their own gimmicks and such.

People respect technical skills, and it will put asses in seats.

Here here.

Might I suggest an 18 foot ring. Those are the "indy" rings we usually know and love. WWE's ring is A 20 foot ring.

While mat-skills are important, I suggest you either recruit experienced professionals and have them wrestle, or Recruit a Trainer to help train people who WANT to wrestle.

I don't suggest you and your friend just hop into the ring and go for it, its VERY dangerous and you guys could get terrible injuries. (Less' your trained, of course)

I don't know the laws in Iowa, but some states require that you have a promoter's liscense, and each wrestler has its own liscense, then again, other states only require a promoter's liscense. Make sure to check this out, because its important, especially for establishing yourself on the indy scene, that you guys are official, and don't look backyard.

May I also suggest, if you have friends (or yourself included) who are going to be wrestling, make sure to purchase ring gear. Nothing I dislike more than paying 10-15$ just to go watch a bunch of guys in windpants and t-shirts wrestling.
