A hospital in India which doesn't pay their surgeons massive salaries so they can afford to give free heart operations to the poor.
When he told a mother and father that the operation for their 11 year old boy would be free, they started crying and calling him a saint. Very nice stuff.
It's similar to the Fred Hollows Foundation that trains locals in third world countries in how to perform basic eye surgery. That way, for about $20 AUS, someone can have their cataracts removed or a pair of corrective lenses supplied, all for free.

DR DEVI PRASAD SHETTY: A government hospital run by the government of India, about 85 to 90 percent of their budgetary allocation goes for salaries. In the Western countries, about 60 to 70 percent of the yearly expense goes for the salaries. In our hospital, it's 20 percent or 22 percent.
