Sorry to bring this up...

(sigh)... I really hated to say this, but my Grandfather has just passed away. He died from a clot from knee surgery. I'm somewhat not like most who are deeply distressed. I feel it is just a part of life and I take confort in knowing my Lord is now watching over him. I find confort in knowing that he is now at rest, no longer able to suffer the slings of pain and misery we here on earth are left to endure. Though truely deep down I do feel the pain of loosing a loved one. My mother on the other hand is falling apart. I don't think I would be able to confort her. I can only pray that she'll be able to find peace once more no matter how long it might take.

I know I might come off as cold to some people but deep down I know how ugly pain and misery really is. If I could've done anything to prevent this, I would have. The only thing I can do is try to confort my family through these trying times. Pray not for those who have passed but for those who are still here. The dead are deserving of honor, not pity or sorrow. But if you do want to pray for my Grandfather, that's okay.

I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad that you're able to deal with it so well. I know I too have experienced loss and come across as cold and uncaring towards some. No one wants to lose someone they care about, but the truth is that death is an inevitability for all of us, and learning to accept it will ultimately make things better I think. My best wishes towards you and your family during this time.

I'm sorry that your grandfather passed on, but as long as you remember him he's never truly gone. Allow something from him to live on through you. When my grandfather passed that's how I got over the loss.
