Here's a quote by a famous political figure of the 20th Century. Sounds as if a certain current world leader has been taking notes.

"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is
easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and
denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country
to danger. It works the same in any country."

The speaker? Hermann Goering, supreme commander of Nazi forces and second in command of Adolph Hitler.

What to do when an administration is not responding...

Press and hold your mouse button on the icon in the Dock of the administration that is not responding. Select "Force Quit" from the menu that appears. If the administration still does not exit, press Command + Option + Esc for the system Force Quit window.

I made up the demoncrap and repooplican names far as I am concerned both parties are full of shit I am not voting for either one of those chumps

Dissing each other is the only way those dam fools can draw attention to themselves I have know children with better manners:rant:

^ quit making me think you are heroic like....are you sure you aren't Superman in disguise???? hehe...

Repuglicans and Dickmocrats are my favorite terms.

I'm anti-partisan. That's an impossibility, though. That's human nature, but I hate that in the U.S. only two parties are "officially" recognized.

Nice terms friend The only thing those two parties will agree upon,is not to have any more parties trying to take power from them

That's precisely the problem. See... I'm a fiscal conservative but I'm a social progressive. Not liberal, mind you, but progressive. I support universal civil rights, but not forced social programs like welfare and affirmative action.

But with the way things work in the States? You support the religious right or you support insane liberalism.

As one of those 'religious right' guys, I'm nauseated at the election choices as well. Both candidates vote liberal, talk conservative and beg for the "moderates"...The Republicans have not nominated a real leader since Reagan, and the Democrats haven't since JFK (no, Clinton wasn't one...just read John Maxwell's 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership and you'll see why...Bush 43 comes close but fails as well, sad to day).

And thanks to the Democratic Propaganda Bureau, otherwise known as the 'mainsteam' or 'drive-by' media, any good possible leaders are either chased out, ridiculed, or not willing to undergo the media's toe-nail fungus exams. I'm sick and tired of the press thinking that they are smarter than we are, especially those in NYC and 'inside the beltway.' Stop asking the candidates what the price is currently for a gallon of milk and ask them if they truly know the concept of "supply and demand." Ask them why our tax dollars need to bail out people who bought houses that they could not afford, why our tax dollars are needed to bail out banks that made sub-prime loans that were doomed to fail, and why my tax dollars are needed to reward those that were too stupid to follow a monthly budget!!!

If it didn't require so much money, and the majority of the press wasn't lapping at Obama-rama's feet, this would be the perfect year for a third party candidate. Obama should be all rights by mopping up McBland, but instead it's nearly a dead heat. McCain is the same old mistake with Bush 41 and Bob Dole: he's been around forever, it's his turn to run now. And Obama is so scripted it appears he has to check with his handlers when and how many times to breath!

Sad to say, looks like instead of getting what we need, we're gonna get what we deserve...

I like to keep personal position to an "agree to disagree" thing. I'd rather save my vitriol for the guys who put themselves in the spotlight 😉

I think that the problem with choosing a real leader in this day and age is that it's pointless. A leader might buck the party line. A leader might be a maverick and follow what he actually believes in. Parties don't want that.

In the case of the GOP, they want a sheep who's been groomed by his pseudo-aristocratic parents and social circle to be a president or senator.

The Democrats want someone who CNN will love.

McCain is a joke. His campaign is a joke. Personally, I like Obama. First political candidate I can say that about in a long time.

As for Bush Jr... I don't think I can agree. A good leader doesn't lead their nation into economic failure and military embarassment.

Fear mongering will make people vote for anything. These days I find it absolutely ludicrous that after that thing happened in New York our bank accounts can be monitored, our phones tapped, and we have to go through ridiculous dances of taking off shoes and so on at the airports, while still being told that our freedoms are being protected.

Here's another good quote

"In war, truth is the first casualty." -this phrase has been associated to many people including Winston Churchill, Greek tragic dramatist Aeschylus, and 1918 US Senator Hiram Warren Johnson.
