I see and talk to a lot of wonderful men and women on here and on Fetlife, but can never seem to work out a gathering or possible video company or just a meet up...I know there are plenty of Southern California people on here, I just wish there was more of cohesion in the group!

That'd be a gathering, and I highly encourage such. There's a General Western Gatherings section waiting for your call to meet.

The best success I had was to have a munch before a gathering, when hosting at a hotel or club. When in a home, host the gathering, plan for it to be a social festivity and leave the expectations at conversation. If and when that changes, and it will if you have a lee and a ler in the same place for the first time, you can adjust. 🙂
