Space Damsels 4

Hello🙂 Here again to release the issue 4 of Space Damsels, the someway retro sci-fi DiD/Tickling comic🙂 Right from the preview: "It seems Rui, Yuki, and Ayumi have time enough to grab a breath of fresh, jungle air before unleashing it in a peal of laughter! After long months of being cooped up in the HMS Dancing Damsel, the Intergalactic Enforcers respond to a distress call from Queen Natalia of the Cat-Girl Amazons, whose subjects keep disappearing, one by one. The tropical heat gives way to tropical storms, and Ayumi may share a past with the mysterious huntress… Can the Damsels brave lightning, thunder, and the shadowy jungle, or will their soft soles feel the fingertips of the fearsome huntress?" It was a very funny issue to realize and interesting to color because of the jungle setting🙂 So really hope you like it🙂 More infos and more preview pics on Space Damsels site HERE 🙂

This is phenomenal, loz! Just got the issue (probably my last frivolous bit of spending in a while since I'm done with my dead-end job next week) and I have to say it never ceases to amaze me that you're able to tie in an interesting storyline in between all the great tickling scenes that somehow manages to fit together like a puzzle of a grand da vinci piece.

Please tell me we'll see more of this tribe in the future... I'm wild about those catlike gals getting a good work-over on their feet.

As always LoZ, your art is nothing short of fantastic. But I'm having some trouble with in this series, is that the story itself, compared to Fantasy Frontier just seems a bit too rushed and cramped.

I didn't have a problem with that in the first 3 issues since it was still relatively simple, but in this issue with bringing in the new character and everything, it really shows how much I believe the story is cramped when it comes to pages. I don't think 14 pages was enough to tell this chapter to its full potential.

Another thing I will say, another weakness to the story is how disjointed the chapters feel, where Frontier felt very interlocked, this one just feels like the story has not near as much continuity.

That being said, I really liked Natalia's new design and the tickling action itself is always great, I just think if you expand the comic, you can make a stronger story.

I think 14 pages aren't enough too, even if we decided for such format and I admit, keeping a certain coloring quality for more pages would be a problem, since it's me doing art and colors🙂 That's why my suggestion to the writer for next issues is to add less scenes for each issue,s o I can better use the someway limited amount of page we decided to use🙂

Said this, two notes about the use of standalone chapters: it's a choice for this series to be different from Fantasy Frontier and to contain be more like a single complete adventure in each issue; BUT, next issues will feature a story joining all the little clues and such distributed in these previous issues, and it will be divided in many issues, so I think and hope you'll like it this different, nearer to FF part of the story😉 Also, consider this issue as the prologue of this second half of Space Damsel saga, this way all details will be clearer in later issues😉
