Does anyone know how to split a clip into two or three sections.

Some tickling clips that I'd like to post on this forum are two big and I'd like to split them into sections so I can post them seperately.

Can anyone help?

Help...

No one can help me?

I'm sure there's someone here who knows how.

Maybe i can to help you...

Jonathan, i've a program that can cut a clip (or any file) in several pieces, you only must to set size of pieces and it can to divide clip in several files, of course you must to unite these pieces again for to can see it again, using this program. it's in spanish language, to divide it use "cortar", to unite them use "Pegar". Before divide clip set pieces size using option button in "MB" area and after set size then hit "cortar". I tryed to post it, but i didn't can do it, because this file isn't a clip else program (.exe). If you want it, please tell me by my e-mail : [email protected]. I hope that it can be useful to you 🙂 .

Jonathan P, I use a program called TMPGEnc at work for presentation file editing, it wil cut and join most mpeg files and convert and other features. Just do a Yahoo search and you will find it. I know there is a free version too. There also is a program for RA or RAM files and a yahoo search will find them also.
April 🙂

You can also use WinRAR, which can split a file into compressed pieces as big as you want them to be (you have to express the number of actual bytes, 1024 bytes being 1KB ect), but it will split the file up. WinRAR needs to be used by the downloader to put them together. The filenames for the pieces are usually either .rar, .r00, .r01, ect. or .part1.rar, .part2.rar, .part3.rar, ect. WinRAR knows how to deal with both kinds.

I just downloaded a program called "AVI MPEG ASF WMV Splitter".
So far, I've found it pretty easy to use,so I'll split up some of my larger mpegs & wmv's to upload to the clips forum. You can "join" the clips together by putting them into a playlist with your windows media player.
I'm sure their is probably another program that works with real media files.

You can get AVI MPEG ASF WMV Splitter for a free 10 day trial from downloads.com.
