Spring Weather Thread

Hi all!

I know there has been many a weather thread, but by request I am going to start yet another!


This year, spring has been a very wet and stormy season in Georgia. It's always windy and cloudy outside with little sunshine.
BUT!
According to the news, next week should be sunny and warmer... We shall see.


How is spring where you are? 🙂

Well, everything here has been colder than average this winter,..... not nearly the usual 3-4 feet of snow we expect,.... but 'way colder. So this had better be the real deal as far as the big shift in the seasons, 'cause I'm going ahead with some garden stuff. But the advance looks good; I'm not that much of a gambler.

The temperature drops below freezing here for the last three nights and not many people are into planting a garden just yet.

I'm only doing the cold-hardy plants for now - snow peas, kale, spinach, Swiss chard. They can handle it.

I heard that they will be playing golf at The Master's Tournament in Augusta, Georgia next week. I love looking at the blooming plants on that course and waiting for the day that plants start blooming here in Pennsylvania.

I've been to that course, Carl. My wife and I used to keep a little apartment in Augusta since her folks lived there. It's 70 degrees here in Ohio County yesterday and today and for the rest of the week. I am READY. Totally. After the bitter winter (one whole week never got above 17 daytime high,... sub-zero at night) we really need an early and warm spring, as we're launching a whole new commercial gardening venture (an organic CSA).... I'm convinced that Spring is truly here.

That's weird for Texas, Bugs,... 70's here all week,... I'm sweating in just a T-shirt.

By the way,... had you noticed that the photo of the bogus North Korean missile "attack plan" on the US depicted flight paths to L.A., Washington, DC........... and Austin? What do you have going on down there?

The weather this spring has been up and down like a yo-yo.

Yeah, that was mentioned on the news here. Most of us just laughed at that nutcase.
