We had been shooting for the middle of the month for issues to come out unless there are delays of different types. With the fourth coming up as well as the mainstream gig I'm working on, we're shooting for around the 21st. It might be sooner, we just don't know. Both FTKL and I are super busy this summer.
We're glad we are starting to have a fan base. We do put a lot into the issues and we don't like to rush them. We would LOVE to say that we'll hit the same date every month, but we just can't. We will do the best we can. I can say we're very dedicated to this project, and we plan on doing this story arc well into next year. We also have other types of stories that we want to do beyond these characters, so trust us we'll be around.
Yes we've been a little quiet lately because of other things in our lives. Hey, I actually took the weekend off to go to the GI Joe convention in Va. First time I've seen the ocean in 10 years so sue me. 🙂 I'll have the cover to issue 3 ready very soon, so we'll be getting it posted ASAP.
The bottom line is we're working as fast as we can with the time we have. Super tight regular deadlines were something I put up with in mainstream comics for over 7 years. It drove me nuts and was one of the reasons I left it. We started this project to have some fun (and to make a little money I admit it). If I had to commit to a particular release date every month, I'd stop doing it right now. Life's too short, and my health's not great. We CAN say that there will be an issue of Vellicatrices Unlimited out every month (roughly every 30-40 days).
