Should be..

www.can-you-spare-a-million.com. On the NBC News.com website.,

Stories about what happened to people after huge lottery wins, and why it pays to stay aynonomous. Also, a shocking story about how Jack Whitaker.. a WV man who won $315 million in the Powerball, spent it all, supposedly in four years, including supposedly having his car robbed at one point of a huge sum of money.

I'll never understand how lottery winners always seem to keep large amounts of cash IN THERE CARS!! Several times ive read how these people were robbed of THOUSANDS because they had the cash in there cars. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU KEEP SO MUCH CASH IN THERE??!

I guess they feel special carrying that much cash. I do not want the stress and hassle of winning it big. Too many con artists in this world.

I'd take the $315 million and take my chances. 😛

I'd take the $315 million (or more, let's be honest) because I already know what I'd do with it. I'd work with a lawyer up front to explore options--changing my name legally might be required--and then accept the ticket anonymously (I think you can in my state). But if not, I'd accept it wearing a ceramic head and Dashiki under the name Hunglao Dicklong (because if newscasters won't ignore me, then they're gonna pay for it) and use a phony voice.

In either case, I'd get the opportunity to live like the hermit I've always wanted to, driving a shitty car to deflect attention and buying a shitty house to serve as my living address so people can break into it all they want. I'd spread my money across multiple unrelated platforms so people couldn't find it ALL, and let people work trying to track my money instead of ME.

So far, all these lottery winners seem to be regular people with lives, friends, and tight family. None of them have been hermetic shut-ins who keep their friends at arms length so I might fare better than most, especially if I use my fortune to build a larger fortune in the professional world.

I would stay anonymous for there are people in my life who will suddenly realize that yes I'm still alive and want to be friends/family again

I'd sort my friends and family a few quid, but I think I'd like to do a Reggie Perrin, bugger off somewhere and stay under the radar..

There are some states that won't let you stay anonymous (mine being one of them)....but I'd still like to win (closest I've been is had two numbers and the powerball, the other 3 were 1 off)

It's all depends on the intelligence and maturity of the winners.

Yes, so people blow millions in a few years.

Most others start their own businesses and make even more money, some live standard lives with a few expensive perks, because that's what wise people do.
Some give most away to charity, which is what I would do, to the poorest of the poor, because that would make me happy.

But many people who play the lottery aren't the wisest, smartest people in the world - to say the least, so that's why they end up millions in DEBT after a few years.
Go work at a casino or fast food restaurant, and really look at some of your fellow men and women.

God damn. You see very quickly why some people will always be poor.

Oh, that reminds me, I have to change my forum profile name as soon as I return from the yacht store!:laughhard:
