I found this guy on deviantART.com. He has a profile full of pics I have seen on this forum and several websites run by members here. I'll post the link to his profile. Not sure what can be done about him but i wanted to let eveyone know. I do know he has a Cheshire Cat and SnailShell picture on the profle so check and see if anything else is there. Good luck!

I know what you mean...he didn't claim that it's his...but I'm not sure if it's safe to overlook.

Has the person said that it is his or her own? If not, and if the person is claiming that it is not, then why do you all need to worry?

Either way DeviantART has strict policies on posting other peoples work unless they're given written consent to use the material in question. And with all the czechsexyfeet, frenchtickling and fusskitzler images he's got on there I'm fairly certain he'll be shut down pretty soon...

Ahm, okay. I got that now. thanks for clearing the situation up for me Cheshirecat.

I think it should be left up to the artists who have been "stolen" to decide what they want to do about it. But bringing it to their attention is a good thing, so at least they have some say in the matter.

I believe that was a CC work, actually. Am I correct?

Normally, I'd agree with you. However, DeviantArt policy is very clear on things like this. If it can be proven that the artwork doesn't belong to him, he gets the boot.

Well now that its been brought to the attention of the artists in this forum at least, I'm sure something will be done. I think, because it is an intellectual property matter that DA will take swift action once word reaches their admins that the art this person has posted is not of his own creation.

While I agree with Da Sensh and add that artists should be cautious if they post their artwork on the Internet because of the vast, public nature of the web, that doesn't mean that intellectual property does not apply... it's just harder to enforce in some places as opposed to others. That being said, since I am assuming that the DeviantArt servers are located within countries with strict copyright laws, those pics will prolly be removed but I hope the person, if he was not aware of DAs policies (no one reads fine print), with the page is given the benefit of the doubt and his page and membership not deleted...

Too much typing for a quick reply...

Wow, usually art thieves just try to steal one set of art from one artist, at least in my experience, but this guy is quite brazen to have tried to steal so much.

Story time with Captain Jevil!!!

Yeah, Kids...
Gather 'round, Captain Jevil's got a story for you all...

Once upon a time there was a Troll with a small <-8 by the name of Daddyloveless on Deviantart.
See, he posted all manner of crap from the Tickling community at large, and if it wasn't in his gallery, it was in his faves.
Daddyloveless had the entire Deviant-Art Ticklers Community telling him he was a very, very bad man. But I know, deep inside, he enjoyed all the attention.
You see, Clever old Captain Jevil Figures that he only did it to get any attention, because he was loneley and had a VERY small <-8 .
He got away with over 50 + Deviations in his gallery, and he got away with it for over 2 months. Untill the good, good people at Deviant-Art took him away to a better place. (Point-blank behind an alley. EXECUTION STYLE...)

And the moral of this story...?
Guys like Scorp 337 whoever and Daddyloveless are trolls with small <-8 and a low, low self image. They do it because they think it's funny. They were not the first to do it for the lulz, and are sure as hell not the last. So... enjoy the idiots while they last, and make sure you laugh extra loud and extra hard when they get what they deserve...

I agree that stolen art should be dealt with by the original artist I do know the rules at DA and upon seeing that he had taken so many pics from various members on the forums i decided to start the thread. I am glad to see that this was noticed quickly and hopefully the people at DA will take care of this nice and quick.

P.S loved the story Jevil 🙂

I would'nt be surprised of this guy was that Daddyloveless kid again, seeing as though he and this new theif have on their deviation description as simply "feet tickling" ...then again, art theives are nearly all the same

Another thing i don't get, why do they just give those simply two or three word descriptions to a picture, seems they could have a bigger vocabulary?

I reported the asshole to DA. Hopefully they will delete the account.

since i can't bring up his site, he must be shut down. thanks guys. feels like we got a scooby gang going on here.

Yeah...

Good job gang!

Who would've thought that Ol' Man Crenshaw would have used the legend of the haunted feather to try and scare visitors away from his abandoned lighthouse so he could sell the property.

"An' I woulda gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids."

"Like wow, Scoob".

lmao.

There's only one thing I hate more than art thieves:

Scrappy.

Scrappy Doo was their 'jump the shark' moment...

Jinkies!

Jinkies!

*feels all warm and special because I know what "jump the shark" refers to*

*realises so do most people, but represes this thought and reverts to warm and special*

Doesn't understand what Jump the shark means.

What does jump the shark mean?

its whenever a show gets to the point its so rediculous or so poorly-written, its not even worth watching anymore. Like introducing a new character nobody likes (Scrappy Doo for instance), killing off a character, have the story have a stupid plot twist or something else.

the term originated from an episode of Happy Days when the Fonz was trying to be cool while on waterskis and tries to impress everyone by literally jumping over a shark. It's widely believed a ton of people stopped watching Happy Days after that.

wikipedia should have more info on jumping the shark
