I used to do that, up to about 2008. Then I decided to leave bad enough alone for stories already posted. 😀

One -- our little girl is growing up. The more advanced the being, the longer this takes.
Or, two -- CAB came up with a new sig design, too good for ordinary mortals, thus bequeathed on Our Sensuous Lady of the Firebird City.
Or, three -- hell, what do I know?!
I still have her old signature (back alley, neon light) somewhere on this disk. I loved that piece, and I like this one a little bit more every time I stop to look at it. I don't question it.

Personally I don't. I also try to spend a significant amount of time during the editing process. If I miss a typo or something and just happen to catch it at a later date, I fix it in the post though.
If, however, I'm at a state later in my life where I'm very unhappy with something I wrote and I want to do something about it, I pretty much just do it again from the ground up, using the first as a reference. Can't think of a lot of times where I've done that, though, and usually the two stories are very different in a lot of ways anyway.
I'm usually unhappy with anything that's more than a year or two out from now, though. Being fickle sucks.
