Strong Storm In Europe

I'm sure that our European members have followed, or perhaps, experienced, the strong storm that is sweeping across many countries. Normally, I dont follow European weather, but this one has been interesting. It almost seemed like a winter tropical storm/hurricane.

I saw that it first came ashore from the Atlantic Ocean in England and Ireland, and has swept across The Netherlands, Germany, and now into the Ukraine. I'm not 100% sure of the distance between the northern UK where it started, and where the storm is now.. but.. it seems as if it has affected a very large area.

Have any members experienced this storm? If so, what was it like for you? I saw that it caused quite a few power outages in the UK.

Well....it wasn't the first and it won't be the last! Thank God, Germany is pretty good when it comes to electricity. If you don't live somewhere out in the country, chances that you'll have a power outage due to storm are pretty slim since the cables are underground.

It caught me by surprise on the Autobahn yesterday though....decided to go a little slower after I was blown from the right to the left lane! Was really lucky that nobody was next to me!

Apart from that I didn't really have any problems except lack of sleep because the wind howled and whistled so bad.

I had howling winds and rattling windows , and nearly got blown over a couple of times but thankfully no real damage.

Ah, just a little bit of rain and wind here, but I've seen worse. Still, I can't say it was pleasant 🙂

Yeah it was just really windy here with a few hours of rain. No real damage done 🙂
